Google Map pop up misbehavior on Chrome

UPDATE 12 April 2019: Since August 2018 Google map has given the following false behavior on some Chrome browsers. See discussions for latest status.
When trying to save the location, zoom buttons are missing.

When opening location on own photos, the map and all buttons are missing, and only location is shown.

When opening location on someone else's album the map opens but the location indicator and zoom buttons are missing.

A temporary workaround
All those becomes fixed if the map or page output size becomes changed. If one clicks for example Ctrl-+ to change the page layout size, all gets back to normal. Same thing if the user toggles map to full screen and back.
UPDATES:
The reason and solution probably is the outdated API version number called on the link for Google Maps. One should call v=quarterly instead of some version number. See here: developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/versions
It is tested that clearing cache, history and cookies does not fix this.
It has turned out the bug is very selective. On different computers, both having the exact same Chrome browser version, maps work either just right or the mentioned bug appears.
Reported cases where the bug appears:
- Chrome 68.0.3440.106 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit), OS Windows 10 Home with build 17134.228, display 1920 * 1080 pixels.
- Chrome 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit), OS Windows 7 Enterprise Version 6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack1), display 1366 x 768.
- Chrome 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit), OS Windows 10, display 1920x1080.

If that means we have to change something on API (or CSS) at our end, I say that is annoying...
And why this does not affect on any other than Chrome browser is still a mystery.
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has addedSami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Erhard Bernstein clubMay take some time though... EDIT: Next week is the current estimate.
Ruesterstaude club has replied to Erhard Bernstein clubSami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Xata clubI still have it, and the planned schedule to get it fixed is this week, hopefully...
Xata club has replied to Sami Serola (inactiv… clubOtherwise it works perfectly on mine now...
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Xata clubNext possibility: It may depend on the screen and browser window size??? The scripts often takes into account the display parameters.
OS is Windows 10 Home with build 17134.228.
I am using three monitors with 1920 * 1080 pixels
I get the error just as described.

Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to aNNa schramm club@ Everyone - Does at least the "temporary workaround" help?
Try to click Ctrl-+ and then back to normal size with Ctrl-0.
I keep on reminding our ima team about this every now and then. In case Rob for example manages to find a way to change that API. We would not want to pay Qwellcode to fix this yet, because this still is only a problem on Chrome.
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has addedaNNa schramm club has replied to Sami Serola (inactiv… clubone day later - today 13.4.2019 it is the same error ....
It is the 13. !!!!!!! . It is not a good day ??????
This problem has existed for some time. The workaround is simple, as you say above. Just make the map full screen, then the buttons re-appear. You can then shrink back to normal size.
Best Wishes, and a good weekend
Peter
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Berny clubI'll do some tests with Firefox next week.
