One can blame...

One can blame...
...bad luck, destiny, coincidence, karma, being jinxed or one's own stupidity, but on the very same day when I announced 'bikes theme' here at Ipernity, someone nicked my wife's bicycle. We were inside a shop, no longer than 10-15 minutes, when someone cut off the lock and took the bicycle. Only consolation is that insurance company reimbursed half of the amount what that bicycle cost several years ago.

OH SAMI. THAT JUST ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!!!!!!! I'm really sorry to hear about this theft, and even though insurance paid for the theft, what an INSULT they gave you as "insurance". What a shame. You might keep your eyes glued to the want ads, esp online types like "Craigslist". Stolen bikes are sold this way all the time. Or, it's been reduced to parts. We are always worried about our bikes whenever we stop for lunch on a ride. Never leave them alone. We use two cables to lock them, but hey, it's just an extra snip to someone with a cutter. Grrrr.

Nice picture of this cable and lock though. I was thinking about Cable for the letter "C" when considering my options, so seeing this here was fun for me, since you did a really nice job with this image!
