This brings to mind what happened in London. I was at university there in the late 70s and sparrows were literally everywhere. Then sometime in the 80s, almost overnight, they vanished (although to be seen still in other UK towns and in the countryside). It was a mystery then and I believe it still is, although they did return many years later, I don't believe it was anywhere in the same numbers.
Anyway, that aside I like your shot, Eunice!
