Belted Kingfisher

Belted Kingfisher
Well, it's grainy, but I finally found my first Belted Kingfisher. This guy was sitting on this beam over an area on one of the ditches that was clear of ice waiting for his dinner to come along. Suddenly he disappeared and reappeared with his snack. Taken from a distance along CR-20 in Weld County, Colorado on December 13, 2009.
