I saw a post on POTN 'Welding Glass (£1/$1 ND Filter) Exposures' thread, where a poster had modified a cokin P series filter holder to take a piece of green welding glass, and here is my take on it.

Just a test shot using an old Zenith E lens on my 1Ds. I'd seen pics on POTN with people using these old Russian lenses and I'd thought give mine ago. Not the best by far but its a start, next time I shall try it on my IR modded camera.

Went into a charity shop to find a flatbed scanner, and came out with these two. The Brownie Popular has had a clean up of the 2 mirrors and lens, and dates from the early 40's, the Brownie Flash 20 still had a roll of film in from the previous owner, probably well past its expiry date.

I'm still amazed at how small my 450d is compared to my 1Ds, it's almost a like a toy camera. Compared to the A1 in the middle it's still looks small.
