What a fun photo, and you always come up with the best lyrics to go with your photos!

And I wonder, too, if that's a dance card! I have several dance cards but have only scanned a couple of them. See a nineteenth-century example (it's missing the ribbon/tassel/pencil that would have been attached, however) and a unique Halloween roller skating dance card (dated 1939, it's also missing whatever was originally attached to it).

Thanks, Alan, and thanks for the links to the dance/skate cards. Most interesting to see the program of dances in German, indicative of the strong influence of German immigrants during that period. I was intrigued by a recent internet article I saw recently from a reputable source that showed a map indicating the most spoken language after English and Spanish in each of the states. German is still the most spoken second language after English and Spanish in a number of Midwestern states from Ohio to Idaho.
