Nice Rack II

One of the group of six or seven bucks hanging out in my neighborhood of late, all of whom are perfect eight- or ten-pointers. Unusually, this guy was all by himself today.
Unfortunately, he came just a little too late in the day...I had lots of great compositions thanks to where he was in the backyard (including a perfect Mutual of Omaha pose), but the light made the shutter slow, which means all but this one turned out blurry (and this one is itself blurred slightly). I'll remember next time to grab the tripod.

Hogback

Stopped near Kipling and C-470 to take some pictures of the overnight snow on my way to work. This snow turned out to be the appetizer for the huge blizzard that would hit a week later.

Portage Lake Sunset

Looking west from the Houghton side down Portage Lake, towards the Lift Bridge. September 1997. The bridge is the structure in the middle of the dark "saddle", and the Quincy #2 Shafthouse is the tiny structure on the horizon at right.
