Day 12

The view across Seyðisfjörður from Tvísöngur. Note the numerous waterfalls - the walls of the whole fjord were cut by similar long, thin waterfalls.

Tvísöngur, an art installation of several superimposed concrete domes.
Like most modern art, I didn't really get it. But the view was nice.

I believe this was at the top of Öxi pass, during one of the brief lulls in fog. We must have taken a slightly different route to Egilsstaðir in 2010. This road was mostly (newly) paved, and was completely different and what I could see was far more dramatic than what we saw then.
Only later did I see the warnings about how dangerous and terrifying this pass supposedly is. I had no problem - but then, part of the time I couldn't see more than about 30 feet in front of the car...

Lagoon along the Svínafellsjökull glacier (not quite the end, but off to one side). As big as it looks, this is actually the smaller of the three glaciers in Skaftafell.
