I once had a personal project to seek things that look cool this way.
raingirl club has replied to Sami Serola (inactiv… clubI wish I had the follow through to have projects. I have a few in mind, but I keep getting distracted by other cool things.

Although, one of them is actually upside down =D
raingirl club has replied to Sami Serola (inactiv… clubI'm interested in the concept of groupings of photos, for books, for shows. It is frustrating to me to try and group my photos - I think of them as individual works of art (the best of them anyway) and it seems to degrade them to put them next to another artwork of my making. Yet sometimes they can be given another dimension by having something that goes before of after. And I enjoy other's groupings sometimes. So I'm going to read a book about grouping images that is in a book about chinese poetry that my husband has. To me it is a fascinating subject.
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to raingirl clubWhat I learned from this sideways thing is that how the direction of light and shadows changes the nature of images. Usually in mid day light comes from up. When images become turned sideways, the images get almost supernatural feeling.
