By the way, I discovered another way to embed an image into a comment, in case it's possibly easier than what you do...
When you are at your picture, choose "More Options" and then choose "Insert in an Article" and then click on Source and copy the code there! To me, it's a lot easier than scrolling down to get the HTML/BBL code...I tried your explanation but it only gave me a link, not the picture.

But maybe it's not that weird - maybe it's because you are a club member and I'm not yet. Sorry mine didn't work for you - it always seems to work for me (did you remember to add the less than and greater than symbols surrounding everything? oh, is doesn't matter, you have a method!):
