Nein, hier sind wir auf und entlang dem Gletscher nach unten gewandert. Ansonsten gehe ich lieber nach oben :)

Eben nicht. Ich weiss auch nicht wo es einen gibt, ausser sicher in Monte Rosa, dass nicht so weit von hier ist, man kann ihn vom Zug nach Mailand sehen aber wirklich dort , in Macugnaga war ich nie. Ich sollte einmal mit dem Pullman hin.

Ja, die swisstopo-Karte ist ein Hit! Gibts noch nicht so lange als online-Version. Bisher musste man sich die Karten für teures Geld käuflich erwerben :)

Leo, ja, in dieser Höhe geht einem der Schnauf schon etwas früher aus :-)
Aber hier sind wir nicht auf den Gipfel gegangen, dazu waren wir zuwenig gut ausgerüstet. Und man muss am Morgen schon sehr früh los, damit man rechtzeitig auch wieder zurück ist.

Bergfex, ja, die Stille, das Monumentale der Berge, die Ehrfurcht und Demut, die man dabei erfährt sind schon sehr eindrücklich. Wobei ich bloss auf hochalpinen Touren unterwegs bin, und nicht so wie du, auch noch klettere. Das ist nochmal ganz was anderes. :)
