Noccalula Falls

On Black Creek, Gadsden, Alabama, this 90 foot falls is named after a supposed Indian legend about an Indian Princess, Noccalula, who threw herself into the gorge because she was being forced by her father to marry a chief from another tribe instead of her true love. This statue shows her on the edge of the precipice beginning her plunge into the gorge. (IMG_5896)
