The glassy discs create strong tension with the background. Making the whole piece captivating. Fine work, Phil.

It's funny how eyes perceive things. The discs are in fact holes in the top layer, showing a layer formed from two copies of the top layer, that had been placed at right angles to each other and then combined in a method called 'multiply'. I can't remember whether other filters were also employed to get the slightly tartan effect. Any way I am glad it struck a chord with you. Have a good weekend.
