Winchelsea Beach shingle, sand, groynes & sky 10 8 2015
Winchelsea Beach is a largely shingle beach with patches of sand, mud and quick-sand. It is backed by a sea wall that protects the Pett Level marshes and pastures. The hills to the west that can be seen in the distance contain the communities of Fairlight and Hastings.

Thanks, Roger. Despite there being at least three caravan sites along behind the sea wall it is always a very quiet beach.
