Lewes - Saint Anne - Saint Anne & the Blessed Virgin Mary - from the studio of Mabel Espin

This is an interesting scene. I have never seen a portrayal of a saint in their childhood, before they reached the role for which they became known and their saintliness developed. There are one or two, like Saint Pancras who was martyred while still young. I suppose this is more about Saint Anne's position as mother of Mary.
