The Sussex Ouse south of Lewes - 3.3.2016

This one is especially for Doug Wall! Photographed from a passing train. The waterway, in the foreground, joining the Ouse, is the Glynde Reach. The town in the distance is Lewes. This is about the widest the Ouse Valley gets. The flat land continues to the right and cuts through the South Downs, reaching right round behind Eastbourne and on to Pevensey Bay. It is not all this flat, but A27 has an undulating route rather than a hilly one in that direction, until it approaches Bexhill and Hastings.
