Thanks John. We have the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne. But I don't even belong to the local photographic club, so I don't even exhibit here in Seaford. However a local businessman has talked about having some of my landscapes in his office.

Many thanks, Paul. It's good old Photoshop elements again. Having typed the word Abstracted, it was then 'simplified' which turns it from text to being a plain layer. A rectangular marquee (with the marching ants border) was then placed around the word with spaces on either side and the 'Distort' menu's 'polar coordinates' effect was used to create the arc shape. If you don't put spaces on either side, the effect makes an almost complete circle of the object, in this case the word. Having done that, we get to the answer to your question, The 'drop shadow' effect was applied and the 'distance' element was pushed until the space between the letters and their shadows looked right. The opacity was kept high to make the shadow fairly solid. Another way to have done it would have been to copy the word layer and darken the lower of the two layers, then use one of a number of tools to pull it into the desired shape.
