Leaving Denton Island - Newhaven - 11.9.2014

I was photographing the old hulk that lies beside the bridge when this lady crossed the bridge from Denton Island. Her dress made a striking contrast to the industrial landscape across the river.

Thanks, Lutz. It has been cropped - there were some out of focus scaffolding poles to the left - but otherwise it is as it came out of the SD card! HFF and have a good W/E.

Newhaven is about as exotic as my travels get most of the time! Denton Island has a couple of retail units, a branch of a FE college, some light industry and boatyards - which of these the lady had been visiting I don't know. HFF Neil.

Now my granddaughter has seen this photo, she says that the lady is the mother of one of her school friends. I now wonder if she will mind me sharing her photo with the world. I hope that if she hears of it, she will be pleased at the positive reception the photo has had. HFF Gudrun.
