Dock Gate Mechanism - Greenland Dock - 26.1.2009

Dock Gate Mechanism - Greenland Dock - 26.1.2009
As with tug Sammy, this originally had a serious blue colour cast. Having spent some time trying to correct it, I decided the best option was to go into b&w, which certainly looks better.

LutzP, Dida From Augsburg, Gudrun, Steve Bucknell have particularly liked this photo

Although the London docks are largely redeveloped, there are enough relics of their past to make them interesting places to wander around. HFF Dida.

Perhaps I should try mono more often! Thanks for your good wishes! It's a step(ish) grand-daughter's 18th. (ish because relationships around her have changed, yet again!) HFF and a peaceful w/e - Have your carnivals finished? We have a huge one in Lewes and a smaller one in our town - but they call them bonfire parades.
