Seaford beach - steps & shingle - 19.2.2014

These two photos are just for the record. Not very dramatic, but significant locally. The beach used to be lower, with groynes or breakwaters helping to control the movement of the sand and shingle. Apparently the Newhaven Harbour breakwater's installation altered the flow of the tides and made the groynes ineffective.
