Easter on the Bluebell Railway Sheffield Park 19.4.2011

Having been uploading my Dad's railway photos onto Flickr, I thought that it was a bit daft that I hadn't actually been to the Bluebell Railway itself. One of his photos of a Southern P class has had hundreds of views after it went on a Bluebell Railway networking site. So I took my oldest grandson, ostensibly on a fact finding mission to see how easy it would be to take all five grandchildren there. Seaford to Haywards Heath by Southern Railway was fine (standing room only on the way back though). Metrobus 270 only runs into Horsted Keynes Station at weekends, so it was an uphill and down dale walk of about 1.5 miles from the village, along country roads without pavements. So taking 5 aged from 3 to 15 is not on on weekdays!
Anyway grandson no.1 and I had a good time snapping away and here are some of my photos.
