In this part of the fresco of the 14th century, St. Principin is just decapitated. Continuing the prayer he had begun, he goes to church Chateloy holding his head in his hands. At the entrance of the church, St. Principin meets blind Maccharius. The latter recovers his view by wetting his eyes with the St. Principin's blood. The saint died is ensured by Maccharius who buried him in the morning in the Church of Chateloy.
