Very beautiful photo. I love the water background, even though that's not why you took the photo. I'd rather say the dragonfly is a swift long-winged skimmer, but I'm not sure. I always have to say maybe or might be. I have ordered a field guide to dragonflies of eastern North America to help me out in this huge subject.

Lovely photos of the dragonfly. This year I've not seen many insects other than dragonflies. Hardly any butterflies.
