William, it has been a great year here in NC for Skippers and Carpenter Bees ---- only a few Monarchs, Eastern Tiger Swallowtails, American Lady -- and the Red-spotted Purple & Common Buckeye - both were 'Lifers' for me~
Last year this area had alot of rain [ per: the neighbors ], so more flowers bloomed longer for the butterflies ..... do have those photos ... always next year, my Friend ~~~~

That's what I heard last year. This year even the skipper population is way down. Hope these last two years aren't a sign of a permanent decline here in NY.

Bad year everywhere William... also down here in OK

That said... I had a day of days yesterday.. 8 Monarchs and a Pipevine Swallowtail !!!!! Pic to come.

Nexxt to no Skippers.... so few anything else at all.. and that includes bees...

In Florida, Lantana grows like a weed... here ? Will probably have to 'buy' a plant ~ something is wrong with that picture !
