On my visit, the plan that emerged was a lift to the top (the 24th floor), visit a few artists, then make my way down the stairs to see what was occurring on the other levels.

I'm really enjoying your set of Balfron Tower photos. I visited on 5 Sept to see Home on High, the video installation on the 24th floor. It was a really interesting video -- a father and son who were among the first residents, talking about their memories of living there. Unfortunately, my camera had a terminal failure just before I got there, so no photos to show for my visit.

Shame about the camera. But, yes, I absolutely loved my time there. It's a pity that time for a visit has almost run out, as I'd really like to go back. On Open House weekend, I didn't really know how much time to give each room. Now I've seen so much, I'd be able to linger for longer.

Glad you've enjoyed the pictures - wish there'd been a bit of sun!

The old camera (a Canon G11) served me well for over 4 years, but I was feeling the itch to upgrade before it bit the dust. So, I was disappointed not to have it for my last 3 days in London, but I wasn't gutted. I've got my eyes on the new Canon G7x.

He knows everything about whatever is going on in that area and would probably know of any future opportunities to see Balfron Tower.
