Defying gravity for just a bit longer.

Five minutes later the avalanches started of thawing ice . It got too dangerous to stay out there as the ice came off the trees

It was an avalanche of ice ! In 2 hours.. apart from the damage .. you wouldnt have known there had been an ice storm !

Until I came to the USA I had no real conception of it either. I wondered why all the trees were broken.. after the first ice storm I knew why !
