Temnoscheila chlorodia - a bark gnawing beetle

Temnoscheila chlorodia - a bark gnawing beetle
Second photo on Note at Bottom Left

Tucked away in the garden I have a small plastic toolbox on wheels . I have an old piece of lino over the lid with a brick on it. The water stays out the toolbox.. and so do the bugs.

BUT... I always take the wrap off with care as "bugs/spiders" have been known to seek shelter under the wrap between it.. and the lid.

This morning I find the Jewel of this beetle !

I laid the wrap in the early morning sunlight and took pics... the spider appeared !! Neither wanted anything to do with each other. and the spider hied away.

, Soeradjoen (limited time), , have particularly liked this photo
