I went to Lynton & Lynmouth purposely to see the Valley of Rocks, but I never got there. It was a pre-paid trip with a tight schedule to Minehead by train and then a coach to Linton and back. For reasons unknown to me, the train was almost an hour late into Minehead, so I was that much short of time when at L & L. I wandered the streets and took about 100 photos instead.

I have a little video taken then of the sound of the surf on the rocks 400 feet below.

I cried... I was due to fly back to the USA 2 days later. So sooooooooo emotive. So damn torn

NZ is the only country outside the UK where I could be content, but having said that, I would live almost anywhere to be with the right person. For me that would be a no-brainer and nothing else would matter...providing Mouse was with me ;-)

Its funny... NZ was where I always thought i would end up....

I am here..... for Jay and Jay alone... not cos it was a choice to be here... it was a choice to be with Jay. Cleo was still alive when we first met... and she was part of the deal. It was all arranged ... but she died before %^&*()_ US immigration let me have my Visa to come.

It's a lovely shot, Pam. There is nothing like the sea to grab a chunk of our heart.

This place holds my heart. Two days later was the last time I saw Home and England.

OH THIS IS A SIGHT THAT I KNOW SO WELL - HEARING THE SURF CRASHING AGAINST THE ROCKS IS INDEED A BEAUTIFUL SOUND. I HADN'T REALISED THAT NORTH DEVON HAD BEEN YOUR HOME TOO. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE ONLY WAY YOU'D HAVE LEFT THIS WONDERFUL PLACE WAS TO FOLLOW YOUR HEART. I'M THE SAME - THE ONLY REASON I'LL EVER LEAVE THIS PLACE IS TO GO TO LIVE IN TURKEY TO BE WITH MY DAUGHTER. I MISS HER TOO MUCH TO STAY HERE ON MY OWN GETTING OLDER AND MORE INFIRM. I KNOW I'LL GET BETTER IN A WARMER CLIMATE AND WITH HER ENCOURAGING ME TO DO MORE.
