Riva Ca' di Dio, near the Arsenale vaporetto stop. This convent was built in the second half of the thirteenth century as a hospice for pilgrims. In 1360, the building was reused and as a home for women who had fallen to poverty. The convent was completely rebuilt in 1570. Now used as a home for the elderly.

Tuvalu Pavilion, by Vincent Huang, Venice Biennale Arte 2015. With climate change, the island country of Tuvalu will be one of the first to be lost as the seas rise. The idea here is that, if enough people stand on the wooden foot bridges, they will start to sink. I didn't see that happen, however. Good article here: www.bbc.com/news/magazine-32598360
