Indomitable

The "cursed soldiers" (also known as "doomed soldiers", "accursed soldiers" or "damned soldiers"; Polish: Żołnierze wyklęci) or "indomitable soldiers" is a term applied to a variety of Polish anti-Soviet or anti-communist Polish resistance movements formed in the later stages of World War II and its aftermath by some members of the Polish Underground State.
1st of March is the “Indomitable” Soldiers National Remembrance Day in Poland.
The Wolf's Trail Run is one of the events taking place to celebrate the Day.
1963 meters is the symbolic distance of the run, honouring the last Indomitable Soldier, Józef Franczak, codename Lalek, who was murdered by communists that year.
Over 75,000 people participated in the Run this year. In Poland and around the world.
About 200 people participated in the run in Sulejówek. Mostly families with kids, young people, older people. The guest and participant of honor was this veteran, Captain Jerzy Widejko codename „Jureczek”, an indomitable soldier himself in 1950s. He walked the whole distance and was not the last one to finish the run :)

I felt like this toning would be appropriate.

Marta Wojtkowska club has replied to BillathonI spotted and made a shot of a young mum with two little kids, one of them in a stroller.
All three had their starting numbers pinned to their official t-shirts. They were lovely :)
Those who felt stronger could participate in 5 km and 10 km runs organized in Warsaw and other big cities. Not in Sulejówek ;) But obviously there were refreshments afterwards :)
Here is a full report from the event in Sulejówek:

It is in Polish, but photographs speak for themselves :)
