I remember his parents had a lot of money... but the boy was simple, kind and gentle. At the moment his name does not come out, we called him Dami. He had a friend, Zbigniew Korwin, very nice fellow too, but we were about 10 years old, after they moved to another country...

Korwin is a good name too.
Actually it is a Polish coat of arms. It was used by several noble families in the times of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
It is good to know that you have nice memories of those kids.

Dami's father had a company and was in business with Portugal, Zbigniew was his PA's son and there was another little girl too called Marta Jamro. They stayed one year there and the kids went to international school were I was too. That is how we met and became friends for a year...

Thank you, Leon!
The last private owner, who was not able to maintain the property because of huge costs, gave the palace to the State Treasury in 1920. Since then it has served as office of local administration. Its interior was destroyed in 1944 by the Wehrmacht but the palace was spared expropriation enforced by communists after WWII.
