Hand sized piece of marble cake

When I happen to buy pieces of cake at local supermarkets, they always end up as tiny or even minuscule slices - and still cost above 1.80€ most of the time.

This magnificent piece here though comes from a traditional bakery and is as large as my hand including fingers. The right side is about 5cm thick (2 in). The best thing though is the price: 1.10€ !

When I first got such a piece, I though the slice thickness was a mistake, maybe because I looked hungry or something ;-) But no, this is the 2nd time I got such a slab. Different date, different sales person.
