So it took 4 full weeks from the US to Germany this time. Including customs delays.
I got a letter from German postal service. They couldn't find the customs papers (invoice) and therefore forwarded the letter to my local customs office.
Of course the invoice was included in a pouch labeled "CUSTOMS PAPERS ENCLOSED". Somebody simply can't read it seems.
