30 years ago this area has been a pretty much worn down harbor district with broken windows, drunks and winos and illegal street prostitution. The Auction Hall was planned to be demolished. After a big urban redevelopment program you will find here upscale shopping, fine office buildings and lots of affordable restaurants and bars. Hamburgers love to go for a walk here along the river Elbe, which is to the left behind the buildings.

LutzP club has replied to volker_hmbg clubals wir dort waren hatte ich die Szenerie "hinter der Lampe" noch gar nicht bemerkt. Speziell diese Brücke zum Stilwerk hab' ich erst bemerkt, als wir drunter durchliefen.
Ich denke auch, wir sollten diesen Teil "Sonntagswanderung" nochmals wiederholen
.... Fischmarkt,Palmaille, Stintfang ... bei schönem Wetter sehr einladend für's Auge.
