Laeiszhof in Hamburg, office building established 1898 for the shipping company F.Laeisz, owner of the then famous Flying P-Liners. The company still resides in the building.

One of the few buildings in Germany with a life paternoster-elevator

Herrlich diese Treppenhäuser. Da hat man sichtbar viel Energie reingesetzt.
Glaube beim ersten Besuch wäre ich geplättet von den viel zu vielen Möglichkeiten.

Ich hab das mal getestet, Lothar. Höfliches Fragen führt in der Regel zum Erfolg. Es wird natürlich Wert darauf gelegt, dass man nicht stört. Hanseaten sind freundliche Menschen ;-))
