The Angel of the Waters by Daniel Chester French in the Public Garden in Boston, July 2011


This statue was created by Daniel Chester French as a memorial to Boston philanthropist, George Robert White. It was completed and dedicated in 1924. White gave over $5 million dollars to the city and $50,000 was given in order to create this monument. This statue can be found at the Arlington and Beacon Street intersection. French created another White memorial statue which can be found in the Forest Hills Cemetery.
