ll Saints, Little Munden. In the Chancel, under the ogee arch, are the chest tombs for Sir Philip Thornbury (d. 1457) and his wife Margaret. Big thanks to good folks of Little Munden/Dane End for keeping their beautiful church open allowing me to visit during a cycle ride.

This is a detail of the effigy of Sir John Thornbury in All Saints church, Little Munden, Hertfordshire. He died in 1396 and is buried next to his wife. He is wearing a bastinet (a type of helmet) with chain mail.
