Lovely little Hertfordshire church. One of only three with its 11th century apsidal east end surviving.

The view down the nave to the original 11th century chancel arch. Sadly, the east windows are a replacements for the originals. The squints either side of the chancel arch are later.
The Plomer monument
The Mylne Mausoleum

This bricked-up mausoleum lies to the east of St John the Baptist, Great Amwell. Built in 1800 by Robert Mylne. The urn on the top is of Coade stone and the plaque is of Weeping Dacia. The plaques around the walls celebrate various members of the Mylne family.

This is one of only three surviving 11th century apses in Hertfordshire. The windows are much later replacements. The one surviving window is on the opposite side.
