M51 embedded in polar light (17-03-2015)
Reprocessed pictures (three) taken on 17-03-2015. I am now convinced that the reddish background in part of the pictures is in fact caused by the polar light. At that time I didn't realize it was visible in large parts of northern Europe

Kann man, aber man braucht klarer Himmel, keine Lichter am Horizont. Bei diesem Bild wusste ich nicht das das Polarlicht zu sehen war, die Bilder waren aber etwas "komisch". Habe die Bilder erstmal nicht weiter beachtet. Aber jetzt, nach eine neue Bearbeitung, bin ich überzeugt das ich zufällig zum ersten mal Polarlichter fotografiert habe, und überhaupt gesehen habe.

Du hast wunderbare Bilder der Sterne und des Himmels. Das kann man bei uns durch die Lichtverschmutzung gar nicht mehr sehen. Danke dass wir teilhaben dürfen.

Im TV waren es auch mehr diese roten Lichter wie bei Dir. Also ab heute Augen noch mehr auf...ah...graue Polarlichter sehe ich :-))
