Land Rover the Albanian way

Not a great photo, technically, but it was one of those beautiful evenings, that deserved to be recorded.

Rachel Robertson's documentary about the July/August 1999 humanitarian aid convoy to Kosova. This informs the story of one of the earliest stages of Aid Convoy (the charitable organisation I run), as we were brought in for our experience (and vehicle!) by the Students' Representative Council of the University of Aberdeen who wanted to supply a vehicle of aid to a Workers' Aid for Kosova convoy. http://www.aidconvoy.net/

Possibly even the room he stayed in. Here in the Masindi Hotel, the oldest in Uganda, the author recuperated after a fairly messy aeroplane accident. We were quite possibly the only guests, staying here at the end of our trip for a bit of well-earned luxury. We had also been the only guests a few days previously, when camping in the grounds of the once important town's other hotel, on our way to the Nile! The Masindi served one of the best curries ever tasted, although in Uganda, there doesn't seem to be such a thing as a bad curry!
