London-style Police Post. In... Tripoli!

The policeman patrolling the parked cars was very insistent that I shouldn't take any photos here. There was no other sense that wandering around was discouraged for foreigners, and no other interference with photography, so I can only presume he was proud of his town and worried it was a bit shabby here. I acknowledged his discouraging waves and made a phone call for a while; he hung around so I had to very much "grab" this shot. To make up for it, I can report that it's actually a really nice place to wander around!
