Hayling Billy Line

This path runs along what was the railway track between Havant (where I live) and Hayling Island (where I started the walk). The steam train that ran along the line was called the Hayling Billy.......hence the title.
The weather was dry (although it had been raining most of the night) when I set out, but it soon became quite cloudy and overcast.........nevertheless it stayed dry (much to my surprise) and didn't rain until later in the day.

Keith Burton club has replied to Günter Klaus clubI would have like better weather, but to be honest it was nice to get out in the fresh air.
Enjoy the rest of the day..............best wishes, Keith.
Some fascinating trunk and branch shapes with perfect light at the end of the tree tunnel,
A wonderful capture! how far is the walk?
Keith Burton club has replied to Roger (Grisly) clubLuckily you can't really see the houses for the trees which makes it very pleasant to walk there.
Thanks for your visit and comments.
The whole trail is around a 6 mile round trip - all off road. It's what they call a "multi-use" trail, which will accommodate walkers, cyclists, horses etc, but is also suitable for those in wheelchairs etc.
