Houseboats (+PiPs)

There is a large Houseboat community on the seafront at Shoreham-by-Sea, in West Sussex. Strangely they are situated almost immediately in front of a housing estate. I was going to walk over the bridge to get a closer look, but I've read that (probably quite rightly) the residents of the houseboats aren't keen on people gawking at them and taking photos.
These are taken at 100mm (which was the longest zoom I had with me) and considerably cropped. Best viewed large, I think.
The large vessel looks as if it's new to the site........ and it seems to having a lot of work done to it.
Please check out the 2 PiPs if you have time :-)

Keith Burton club has replied to Günter Klaus clubThe large boat has the look of an ex military vessel while the others appear all have had large extensions, do they ever float or are they permanently on land?
I note the large boat is facing away from the water and looks not to have floated in,
Fascinating photos so full of interest, Love them !

Keith Burton club has replied to Jenny McIntyre clubThanks for dropping in and commenting Jenny.
Keith Burton club has replied to Eunice Perkins clubIt's an odd set up here...........but the houseboats have been there for years so both communities must get on OK. I doubt house prices come into the equation as I think must houses are owned by housing associations and are rented and not purchased.
Thanks for commenting.

Die Augen..PiP 1 :)))
Keith Burton club has replied to Tanja - Loughcrew clubAt the time I took these shots the houseboats are sitting on tidal mudflats, so they will float when the tide comes in. I doubt that any of them are truly seaworthy though :-)
