Eilean Sionnach Lighthouse
We had to wait for a while and make a couple of visits to get this light. It proved impossible to get a decent perspective and so we had to shoot from the side of a roadway using long lenses! Well worth the effort though. Mainland Scotland in the background.

It's like one of those old paintings you see where you can't quite believe the light portrayed is as it was. Bloody marvellous. A sight for sore eyes.

Janet, thanks for your thoughts on a crop for this shot. It looks good cropped as you suggest, but I really want to keep the light on the background mountains - for me, that's what really makes the shot! Please keep making suggestions though..............it's always good to get another opinion. :)
