Isle of Skye and Scottish Highlands - 2014
Last Man Standing
There has been a lot of tree felling on Skye and this tree, up on a ridge really stood out! All of us took similar shots of it!
Stags - Tomdoun
We were lucky enough to find many of these beautiful and majestic animals at Tomdoun along the banks of Loch Garry in the Scottish Highlands. This was a day excursion back to the mainland from the Isle of Skye.
The Quiraing - Isle of Skye
The Quiraing is a landslip on the eastern face of Meall na Suiramach, the northernmost summit of the Trotternish Ridge on the Isle of Skye. The whole of the Trotternish Ridge escarpment was formed by a great series of landslips; the Quiraing is the only part of the slip still moving, the road at its base near Flodigarry requires repairs each year.(Wikipedia).
Featuring Dave Kiddle (in a very fetching yellow jacket)!
Fairy Pools - Isle of Skye
These are a series of waterfalls and pools, well off the beaten track (wellies essential), with a backdrop of the majestic Black Cuillins mountains. On the day we visited it was cold and windy, but dry most of the time, and very cloudy and overcast
"Excited" stag

He certainly seemed to be in an amorous mood :D
Taken at Tomdoun, Loch Garry in the Scottish Highlands. (I didn't actually notice his "mood" until I looked at the shot on my computer screen)!

Stag and Fence - Tomdoun
I spotted this stag near a fence and as it's Friday today I thought I'd post it (no pun intended)! Happy Fence Friday everyone :)
Eilean Donan Castle
Eilean Donan is a small tidal island where three lochs meet, Loch Duich, Loch Long and Loch Alsh, in the western Highlands of Scotland; since the castle's restoration in the early 20th Century, a footbridge has connected the island to the mainland. A picturesque castle that frequently appears in photographs, film and television dominates the island, which lies about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) from the village of Dornie. (Source: Wikipedia)

Taken on our last day near the Old Sligachan Bridge, with the Cuillins as a backdrop.
Talisker Bay - Isle of Skye
With rain approaching. This was our wettest day! At the bay the wind was horrendous - I actually got blown off my feet! The rain was horizontal and it stung our faces! Nevertheless we stayed and took some photos between the bouts of rain before walking back to the car to dry out.
