Not Leaving

It's been almost 2 years now since Marble showed up in our yard. He likes to be an outdoor cat but comes in now for a couple of hours each day to cuddle. He's made a lot of progress from the scared kitty who couldn't be touched.

I never know who is going to "walk on by" when I look outside. This handsome buck was probably one of our babies just a few years ago.

One of my husband's favorite things is to make something for free. He noticed that our animal friends needed another feeder so he put this one together using two planter trays, some wire and a piece of a dead tree. I think little squirrel approves. :)

This bird is a male Spotted Towhee .
You don't need to use your "red eye reduction" tool on this guy because his eyes are actually red! You can see his wife below. We have lots of these guys here year-round. They make such interesting sounds.
Love/Hate
|
|
|
|
This week in SSC:
"Take, in the same photo, the worst thing that you hate, and the thing, on the contrary, that you love passionately. You should not say in the comment or in the photo the thing you hate and the thing you like; It will be up to the group to guess the answer."
I couldn't get these two together in the same photo so I used a little editing. I try to appreciate all of nature but I do like some things more than others. Can you guess how I feel about these two? ;-)
..and for Sight and Sound:
Sting from his album "Brand New Day" (1999)
