Well, I went down to the canal and then I went to the lake and I wound up finding what I wanted in the pond in my own yard. Funny how that goes. ;-)

I took this photo the other morning at the beginning of a beautiful sunny day.

Suggestion though... A little more of the stone edge on left shown could have worked even better, and crop the image square (see the note ;-) ).

Both crops look good, but on square cut the arch of stones still comes more noticeable, which I like ;-)

Now that I've compared the three, I feel that the square crop is too abrupt and actually prefer the 8x10 crop the most. It's interesting what a crop can do. ;-)

Yes, it is often worth to try. Although one usually do try to compose it right already on the camera there still can be something little one can do on photo editor.

Beautiful reflections. Well seen and well captured. An ace musical match for 'Sight and Sound'. Unfortunately, the first two links don't work but, no matter, the 'Live from Daryl's House' video works beautifully! Love this :-)

A deep, dark lake reflection, the colours are wonderful! My personal favourite is the square crop which accentuates the curve of the stones.
