Flying Sorcery

Sight and Sound
My dad was in the Air force and was always fascinated with planes. When I was a child whenever a small plane would fly over our house he and our dog Sonja would go running outside to look up in the sky at it. Sonja would bark furiously and for a few moments my dad was up in the air with that plane as it flew overhead.
Not far from our house now is a private airport called "Leisureland Airpark." This is the sign at the gate. From my dad I developed a fondness for small planes and every so often we get to see them flying in or out of the airpark. Sometimes I will run outside to see them when the fly overhead.
This song is about an English aviatrix named Amy Johnson (1903-1941) and if you can see the video in the first link it is put together so thoughtfully with the lyrics in mind.
