Magnolia


I doubt we have the *latest* magnolia blooms in the Northern
Hemisphere, but we certainly have them later than most places. The
very small number of magnolia trees that I know of in this city, about
a half dozen, have been blooming over the past couple of weeks. This
is one in a city park in my neighbourhood. The blooms have almost
completely dropped now, but this afternoon, 18 June, there were still
a few dozen blooms to be seen on the tree. And lots of petals on the
ground below.
