Boat and wharf, both waiting

The original picture that this came from was so bright and contrasty
that, although it was quite nice to look at, I thought I should
complicate its tones a bit. So I slipped a black layer in behind it
and reduced opacity to bleed it up. I also played with local
contrasts and sharpness.
This was on Fuji 100 film, so recently outdated that it hardly matters
(it expired in 2011) in my Olympus XA.
